Welcome to Murphy's Lighting Co.!

My name is James, and I'm proud to be a local business owner serving the communities of Simcoe County and Muskoka. Family, quality workmanship, and building lasting relationships with our customers have always been important to me, and those same values are at the heart of Murphy's Lighting Co.

The inspiration behind our business actually started right at home, with my wife's love for Christmas.

Every year, as the holiday season approached, I'd pull out the ladder, untangle the lights, and get to work decorating our home. And every year, without fail, there was something — burnt-out bulbs, broken lights, chewed wires, or another trip up the ladder in the freezing cold. As much as we loved the magic of Christmas lights, the hassle of putting them up and taking them down was something I could happily do without.

That's when I discovered Gemstone Lights, and I knew we'd found something special.

A permanent lighting solution that not only makes Christmas decorating effortless but also offers beautiful, customizable lighting to enjoy all year long.

What started as a solution for our own family has grown into something I'm genuinely excited to share with others. At Murphy's Lighting Co., our goal is simple: to provide homeowners and cottagers throughout Simcoe County and Muskoka with quality products, professional installations, and the friendly, dependable service you'd expect from a local business.

We're grateful for the opportunity to bring a little more light to the homes and communities around us, and we look forward to helping you enjoy yours for years to come!
